We've stayed in the historic and characterful Hotel Nevada on a couple of occasions - 2006 and again in 2009 - and have stayed in the James Stewart Suite both times (not as self-indulgent at it sounds: only about $60 iirc). This photo was used by Desert Companion magazine for a feature on Highway 50 - 'The Loneliest Highway in America' - that passes through Ely.
