Twin Rocks Trading Post
... one of a set of photographs of the roads, highways, state routes, scenic byways and high clearance-only dirt tracks we travelled on our 2011 road trip though southwest USA, taking in five states: Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah. Other photos in this set include the stunning scenery along the 124 miles of National Scenic Byway 12, Utah's first All-American Road; the classic straight-line view of U.S. Route 163 entering Monument Valley; the dirt road that leads to the Old Paria film set (they filmed Clint Eastwood's The Outlaw Josie Wales here); Hell's Backbone, a 50+ mile diversion into a remote mountainous area of southern Utah; the buttes of Utah Highway 24 Scenic Byway; the winding two-lane blacktop of the drive through Valley of Fire State Park; the red dust road of Valley of the Gods; and, among the most scenic of them all, the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway.
