If you would like to order this or any other photo from my gallery, please visit my RoadTripUSA photo ordering site. I am in the process of uploading a number of road trip images to this print and delivery site but if there's an image - or set of images - you're interested in ordering, just contact me at my usual email address. and I'll be happy to upload as many as you like, without any obligation to purchase (my ultimate aim is to make all images from this site available at RoadTripUSA photos).

This photograph is one in a series of iconic American road trip photos by Peter Thody from a 2008 road trip covering Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina.

On-the-road images from this trip include Union Soldiers firing muskets at Gettysburg; butterflies in Shenandoah, US Capitol in Washington DC, Maker's Mark distillery, traditional juke box in 1950s diner, Great Smoky Mountains, Chevrolet at Coca-Cola Museum, yellow school bus, a wonderfully shocking Thank You For Not Aborting Me roadside sign, and discriminatory rules displayed at the Martin Luther King Center in Atlanta.
